This past June/July trip to Africa was my fourth in the last four years (Uganda, 2003; Ghana, 2005, Ghana, January 2007; and Uganda, June/July 2007).  It was especially significant because my wife Donna was able to accompany me and experience the rich African culture that pervades Catholic charismatic worship.  The singing was exceptionally warm and heart-felt.  The homilies were preached with conviction and spiritual power.  The worshipers’ exuberance was reflected in the liturgical dancing that was a part of the opening procession as well as the bringing of the Gospel to the ambo and the gifts.  It was just an uplifting and spiritually enriching experience.

A Parish mission is usually limited to three days ( Monday – Wednesday). Since a mission is a call to the entire parish,  it  necessitates the involvement of the leadership oc the community: the pastor , the musical coordinator, the parish council, the leaders of the commissions, and all the committee members.

Gatherings of large number of faithful under a theme promotes spiritual growth and development call for differentiating parameters. I suggest that the theme for each conference be forwarded to me at least six months before the scheduled event. My stipend for conferences can be found in my speakers Agreement.
